What makes a commerical good

A commercial is only good when the watcher wants and remembers the product, either now or in the future. So a good commercial is either really amazing or really horrible. Both will be remembered. There is a Dow commercial called the human element, that is such a beautiful commercial with a very nice voice over and probably took a ton of money to create but they never mention Dow audibly in the commercial just a tiny logo pops up at the end. Besides the people that work at Dow, I am probably the only person that knows what that commercial is for. Yet a local used car dealer called auto connection makes cheezy commercials on a personal camcorder and I remember every minute of it and what the product is and where to get it. I am not in the market for a used car but it seems the commercials are doing well for them since they have now opened more locations and made more commercials in similar low quality and taste. So, a good commercial achieves the desired result, make a company more money, or in PSA cases raise awareness, which in my opinion is hopeless and worthless and a waste of donations and tax money but that is another topic for another day.
